All About Alison
Alison Hagen is a Bay Area born and raised multi-disciplinary artist who, as made evident by her professional resume, has a knack for making people laugh and telling stories through unconventional performance formats.
Alison found her passion for theatre in 2008 and has not slowed since. She grew up doing community theatre along with voice lessons and dance classes before joining her high school's drama department and competitive improv team. In 2020, Alison moved to Salt Lake City, Utah to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre and a minor in English at the University of Utah. During her time in Utah, she entered the professional theatre scene and received recognition at the Utah Collegiate Improv Festival while obtaining both degrees.
Alison graduated in the spring of 2024 and moved to New York in September of that year. Since her move, her career highlights include singing and dancing in the ensemble of An Evening with Sutton Foster and Kelli O'Hara at SF Symphony Hall, joining the company of the off-Broadway hit Tony N' Tina's Wedding and performing with them in multiple roles across the country, being a swing in Jimmy Fallon's Tonightmares which led to a cameo on The Tonight Show, acting in and choreographing a world premiere of an immersive comedy play at the Players Theatre, performing stand-up comedy in clubs around New York City, including The Bell House and Broadway Comedy Club, and studying and performing with The Second City NYC's competitive Conservatory program.
When not auditioning or performing, Alison is either found giving Taylor Swift themed walking tours, or teaching and working administratively at the Tutu School, a boutique ballet studio specializing in teaching ballet and creative movement to dancers aged 6 months to 8 years old. In her (increasingly little) free time, Alison is probably exploring a new cafe, reading a good book, or cheering on her San Francisco Giants.
