ALISON
HAGEN

Alison Hagen is a Bay Area born and raised multi-disciplinary artist who is currently based in New York City.

Alison found her passion for musical theatre in 2008 and has not slowed since. She grew up doing community theatre along with voice lessons and dance classes before joining her high school's drama department and competitive improv team. In 2020, Alison moved to Salt Lake City, Utah to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre and a minor in English at the University of Utah. During her time in Utah, she entered the professional theatre scene while obtaining both degrees. She graduated in Spring 2024 and has been living and working in New York City ever since.

In addition to performing, Alison is passionate about sharing her love of the arts to the next generation. She has choreographed full-length conservatory musicals for children aged 5-18, and has been teaching ballet to dancers aged 18 months to 8 years old with the Tutu School franchises since 2019 at their studios in the Bay Area, Utah, and Manhattan.

 

When not on stage or in the studio, Alison is often writing poetry, essays, and comedy, and hopes to one day fulfill her dream of publishing a book. When not working on her craft, Alison can often be found playing New York Times games, at a Pilates class, or cheering for her San Francisco Giants.
